MARY KAY GHIGLIA

I work primarily as a painter and printmaker and have been affiliated with the San Luis Printmakers for about 10 years. My first job, at 13, was in a pottery studio, making molds, so I suppose the pleasure of patterning has been with me for a while! I grew up in San Diego, traveled quite a bit in the 60’s, raised my kids in Colorado and now live in San Luis, via Arroyo Grande and Avila Beach.

My work typically has a strong narrative content and social commentary… usually with a touch of whimsy.
