biography
A graduate from California State University of Northridge, with a BA in 2D art with an emphasis on printmaking also studied at the Philadelphia College of Art and Maryland Institute of art. I work as an artist sharing my knowledge as a teacher full time for the last 6 years.
Made just for fun with a sense of humor... my collages are made from recycled and found objects.
Whimsey describes my work best.
I have shown in many juried art shows throughout the country and have had 10 solo shows. Some of my art hangs in private collections throughout the world. I also sell a line of licensed mermaid merchandise made from my artwork.
Having gone through many phases I am now working as a mixed media artist, intrigued by the process as much as the outcome. I use recycled items from my travels in each of my pieces. That is what makes my original paintings unique.
The image of a Mermaid fits perfectly with my whimsical style. Artwork is not just about how well you paint it is also about the persona that you want to reflect to the world. I believe that life is fun. Traveling through the universe of life, as one singer put it, ”Don’t worry, be happy.”
The point of my work is to enjoy what life has to offer you. The work should make you chuckle, even in your darkest hour sometimes you need to stop and stretch your laugh muscles to stay healthy. The body, mind, spirit connection is how I have been able to take this journey called my life, by making that connection.
