With the help of my wife Barbara, also an artist, I have enjoyed the stability of being part of the Central Coast community for twenty-seven years. Together we have raised a family, lived in Spain as Artists-in-Residence for the Fundación Rodriguez-Acosta, helped found the Central Coast Printmakers and the San Luis Artists’ Gallery and served on the board of the San Luis Obispo Art Center.
Today we own ART is for Everyone! gallery in Baywood Park and feel lucky living here, on the coast, in Los Osos.

ROSEY ROSENTHAL
I’ve been making original etchings and other prints for over forty years. During this time I have evolved three distinct styles to which I continuously add new work. They are mythic-fantasy etchings and relief prints, vintage panoramas of historic landscapes and cities, and lino-cut figures.
These three genres allow me to explore interesting techniques, styles, and subjects. I am grateful that I have a following and sell prints in all three styles.
Having these supportive clients is the reward I’ve received for taking a big, scary chance in 1974 when I left a salaried position as a Los Angeles advertising art director (transplanted from New York), to make and sell my own etchings and paintings up and down the West Coast. I was fulfilling my desire that began before kindergarten and continued after graduating with a BFA from Pratt Institute to be an artist.
