Tense elastic line, flat shapes, saturated color, linear rhythms and harmonies are my hallmarks. I use dream landscapes in the tradition of Edvard Munch and Pieter Breugel in much of my work.
I follow the symbolist tradition of Albert Pinkham Ryder, Henri Rousseau, James Ensor, Odilon Redon. Spirit, intuition, another world, beyond and above the “real world, are my interests. Symbolism applies to visual art as well as to literature, not as an imitation of nature, but as an arbitrary interpretation. Hieronymous Bosch and Gustave Moreau worked with the enigmas of fable, myth, vision and dream. I, too, follow that path.
